People are taking notice of Coventry University. We’ve rapidly moved up the league tables and grown to become one of the UK’s biggest and most dynamic higher education institutions, and – for 2019 – we’re the Times and Sunday Times ‘University of the Year for Student Experience’. Coventry is an institution that’s going places.
The Talent Team combines in a single unit all activities related to employment support, career development and advice, employer engagement and core skills development throughout the student journey, providing students with support tailored to their individual needs and career aspirations.
This post is focused on supporting the delivery of a sector-leading service that supports students to gain exposure to employers through internships and live projects. Access to short-term and/or long-term professional experience opportunities is a powerful factor in preparing students for successful careers. This role has a key part to play by supporting the Internships Manager to deliver organisational goals, ensuring that students and employers engaged with UK based work experiences, projects and internships experience an excellent service and are fully supported.
The Internships Senior Associate (UK Opportunities) will work closely with colleagues to ensure the effective marketing and promotion of professional experience opportunities to students, as well as the effective matching of students to internship and project opportunities. The post-holder will be heavily involved in supporting students by providing information and advice to enable them to make informed choices about internships, projects and entrepreneurship opportunities. They will support students through the application and selection processes, provide on-going management of those engaged in professional experience opportunities and ensure compliance at all stages.
