To support innovation development, KTN is organising two webinars on air quality sensing themes to facilitate knowledge sharing and collaborations.

Obtaining high-quality data from current low-cost AQM systems is a key issue in the field application of such systems. In this webinar, industry experts will discuss techniques and methodologies which can be adopted in practice to ensure quality and valid data can be obtained in the harsh field environment from.

Air pollution poses a risk to health which is particularly significant for those groups of people who are already suffering certain health problems which can be exacerbated by poor air quality. In the UK alone, air pollution causes over 40,000 early deaths annually.

Air quality monitoring sensors and sensing systems are now widely used by public and private organizations to monitor the quality of the air and pollutants emissions from industry and other economic activities so that to ensure their compliance with regulatory requirements and detect violations to air quality standards, as well as control pollution, discharges into the air.

Over the past few decades, air quality monitoring (AQM) technology has been developed into a rapidly expanding worldwide market which is worth $3,4b globally in 2015 and expected to reach $5.64 billion by 2021.

The UK is a world-leader in many key AQM technologies innovation developments and has an excellent AQM sensing community, rich research expertise, active and innovative industrial companies and also end-user communities.

To better support business innovation development in this sector, KTN is organising two webinars on air quality sensing themes to facilitate knowledge sharing and partnership collaborations.

In both of these sessions, we have invited major industry leaders, leading academic experts, regulatory and innovation funding agencies, and end-users to share their knowledge and expertise with participants. We are also providing exhibition space for relevant innovators to showcase their technologies and capabilities.
