Automation can unlock great leaps in production times and abilities. Given that composites have historically been very driven by manual processes, some automation techniques are not yet fully exploited.

In this course we will look at common manufacturing methods and what technologies are currently available to automate them. We will also look at a few specific composite deposition technologies to gain a better overview of them. We will also investigate some of the practical tooling considerations when using an automated process.
