Exploring the Connected Autonomous Vehicle Ecosystem and the role of test-beds, pilots & demonstrators in accelerating deployment

About this Event

The UK has emerged as a front runner on the global stage for CAV deployment. With favourable legislation, targetted R&D grant funding, state of the art testbed infrastructure, highly skilled workforce and a willing customer base. The UK offers a “goldilocks“ environment for those looking to develop, test and deploy CAV technologies.

With SMMT estimating a total of £62 billion in annual economic benefits for the UK from CAV deployment by 2030, both the automotive industry and the UK government are investing heavily in CAV technologies.

With four major CAV testbeds, more than 80 collaborative CAV R&D projects and with autonomous driving trials taking place in major towns and cities across the UK – the gap between testing and deployment on public roads is getting smaller.

Join the IDEALondon Future Mobility breakfast event as we learn more about the UK CAV ecosystem and the role of testbeds in accelerating deployment.

We’ll be joined on the day by those responsible for implementing testbed infrastructure and funding deployments as well as the companies piloting innovative projects.
