Join us to hear about project SKYDROCELL who aim to improve autonomous flight safety with 3D map risks. For use by authorities, insurers, operators and other stakeholders, the tool will facilitate the safe and effective use of unmanned drones and other air vehicles, in complex environments such as the “urban canyons” between high rise buildings.

The team is keen to hear from anyone with expertise in the following areas to support the development of the project: (1) Drone manufacture and maintenance (range of capabilities); (2) Collision avoidance systems; (3) Location and identification systems; (4) Near-field sensor systems; (5) Telemetry systems; (6) Command and control systems; (7) 4G or 5G mobile phone systems; (8) Drone port and drone services; (9) Data services.

Phase III of the Future Flight Challenge competition will open in Autumn 2021 providing organisations the opportunity to bid for funding. To help you prepare and form new partnerships, KTN is running the Future Flight Café series. These short, online webinars will each spotlight one previously funded project then open up the floor for you to discuss ideas and ask questions.

Who should attend?

The Future Flight Challenge needs diverse technologies, services and infrastructure to deliver an advanced aviation system. These webinars are ideal for those with expertise in sectors including data, digital, design, business models, automation, alternative fuels, air traffic management or social science. They’re also a must-attend for Local Authorities, end-users (e.g. NHS, Network Rail, asset owners) and partners (e.g. airports, infrastructure and asset owners), all key enablers to the success of the programme.

Why attend?

The Future Flight Café online series provides a forum to discuss ideas and create new opportunities. If you are working on a Future Flight Challenge project, want to get involved or even start your own project, join us.

By the end of each webinar you will have learnt more about the competition, one of the ongoing Future Flight Challenge projects and could have found a new connection to start your own Future Flight journey.
