Discover the latest in clean maritime technologies from 55 funded projects at the CMDC Final Showcase at Portsmouth International Port on 24 May.

In March 2021, the Department for Transport (DfT) launched the Clean Maritime Demonstration Competition, which allocated over £23m of research and development funding to 55 projects across the UK.

The CMDC supported the design and development of zero emission shipping technologies and greener ports through a series of technology trials and feasibility studies to accelerate maritime decarbonisation. The competition ended in March 2022.

To celebrate the achievements of the CMDC, DfT, Innovate UK and Innovate UK KTN are hosting a final showcase event on the 24th May at Portsmouth International Port. This all-day event will include live technology demonstrations as well as an exhibition showcasing the results of the feasibility studies. Featuring all 209 organisations directly involved in the 55 CMDC projects, the event will bring together key industry players from across business, government, professional institutions, research organisations and academia.

The event is a must-attend if you want to hear and see the results of these innovative R&D projects in clean maritime technologies. It is also an opportunity to hear more about other exciting opportunities in the clean maritime space such as UK SHORE.

Some of the technology trials will demonstrate their technologies at a separate location within the port, which will be accessible via shuttle bus. Due to security reasons, you must pre-register for a specified time slot if you want to view these exhibits.

Shuttle bus times available are: 11.00, 11.45, 12.30, 13.15, 14.00 and 14.45
