ABOUT THE EVENT

As communications technology continues to evolve with cloud options becoming more widespread and effective, the telephony market has also become increasingly complex.  You may have a standard landline with the main provider, but as your company grows it may be more efficient to switch to an internet-based SIP or VoIP system. How do you make the right decision for your business, and when?  There can be many benefits to going cloud-based;  Voip can compete with mobile phone services by offering free or lower cost connections via WiFihotspots, it is used on private networks and can, therefore, be more secure. We are familiar with systems such as Skype which offer instant chat, video conferencing and presence but how do you integrate this functionality into your preferred system? Our speaker, Steve Richardson from Convergence Communications will demystify the options and cover:

  • developing a long-term voice and data strategy to future-proof your business
  • making a quality comparison between old and new systems
  • key differences in the multiple technologies out there that all seem to do similar things. But do they?
  • accessing your business lines anywhere and on any device using the latest collaborative technology, including Web RTC
  • collaborating with groups of people worldwide across multiple devices
  • video conferencing
  • making a return on investment.

Live demonstrations of the technology will show you just what can be achieved in the real world.

Speaker: Steve Richardson, Convergence Communications. Steve is responsible for managing client accounts. He has a strong telecoms background having run his own successful telecoms company and been in the industry for 25 years.
