ABOUT THE EVENT

AI is a topic which is of great interest to our members. Not just for their business, but also from an interesting point of view in how AI will change the world as we know it; to discover how technology is being developed and what impact it will have on the world, both from a business and technological view but also ethically. With this debate we want to look at all sides of AI and how it is set to change our lives, to explore the ethical issues that surround it and assess whether indeed it is a threat or an opportunity. Our aim for this event is to further educate those who come along; for them to have a greater and deeper understanding about AI, what is being developed, how it may possibly impact on them and hopefully have any big questions they have thought about answering. The debate will be chaired by Matthew Gooding, Marketing Manager at Cambridge Norwich Tech Corridor.Speakers include:

  • Fernando Lucini, Accenture Digital, Managing Director, Artificial Intelligence
  • Lord Clement-Jones, House of Lords, Chair of House of Lords AI Committee
  • Christopher Markou, PhD Candidate, Faculty of Law, University of Cambridge
  • Revd Dr Malcolm Brown, Director of Mission and Public Affairs, The Archbishops’ Council of the Church of England
  • Dr Karina Vold, Research Associate, Leverhulme Centre for the Future of Intelligence
  • Kathleen Richardson, Professor of Ethics and Culture of Robots and AI
