This virtual event is being delivered by UK5G on behalf of the Department of Digital, Culture, Media & Sport (DCMS) and follows hot on the heels of the Government’s 5G supply chain diversification strategy for the UK which was published on the 30th November 2020.

Scott Bailey, Deputy Director for Telecoms Diversification from the DCMS will provide an outline of the strategy and its overall ambitions. Scott will also be joined by Joe Butler, CTO of the Digital Catapult, and Simon Saunders, Director of Emerging & Online Technology at Ofcom [tbc] to introduce the SmartRAN Open Network Interoperability Centre (SONIC) which was announced as part of the strategy.

There will be time for a short panel discussion and questions from the audience.
