ZF presented its autonomous shuttle as proof of its progress toward Next Generation Mobility to Trudy Harrison, UK Parliamentary Under Secretary for Transport and Isobel Pastor, Head of the Centre for Connected and Autonomous Vehicles (CCAV) at the Department for Transport (DfT). ZF has accelerated the development of shuttle technology. Read More

California Greenlights Cruise, Waymo Autonomous Vehicle Service

Autonomous vehicle makers General Motors and Alphabet Inc. can now collect fares from passengers of self-driving cars in California. Huawei and TIM Brasil signs MoU to make first 5G City

Huawei and TIM Brasil has announced their strategic cooperation by signing MoU to develop the country’s first 5G smart city. This new collaboration between the two firms will enable 5G network installation, the evolution of technology, monitor network, and improve user experience. China’s first commercial license for unmanned driving services issued

The city of Yangquan in North China’s Shanxi province on Friday issued a license to Baidu for the commercial operation of unmanned autonomous driving services — the first license of its kind issued in China. Baidu launched its autonomous driving research and development in 2013. The company has so far carried out road tests in nearly 30 Chinese cities. Read More

Automotive Transformation Fund Expression of Interest: Round 19 – The Automotive Transformation Fund (ATF) is an Advanced Propulsion Centre (APC) programme that aims to establish a competitive and sustainable UK supply chain. It offers a share of up to £1billion of funding for capital and associated industrial research projects. Automotive Transformation Fund Feasibility Studies: Round 3 – APC is seeking proposals from single organisations or consortiums for business case feasibility studies up to the value of £1 million. UK-Singapore Collaborative R&D – Innovate UK, part of UK Research and Innovation, will invest up to £3 million in innovation projects in partnership with Enterprise Singapore. This competition has an open scope. The aim of this competition is to fund business led collaborative research and development (CR&D) projects focused on industrial research. UK-South Korea Collaborative R&D – The aim of this competition is to fund collaborative research and development (CR&D) projects focused on industrial research.
