Ford UK tests autonomous vehicles at London Gateway
Ford UK has recently conducted research at London Gateway looking into how autonomous delivery can impact operations and workflow at ports. The trial is also set to demonstrate how freeports can become centres for innovation and collaboration. Thames Freeport has also recently introduced a range of financial incentives to attract businesses to relocate to its premises. Read More

Fully autonomous vehicle hits public roads in EU first
EasyMile is set to become the first transport provider to run a fully autonomous vehicle (AV) on a public road in Europe. France’s Ministry of Transport and Ministry of Ecological Transition gave EasyMile the green light to run a driverless bus at the Oncopole medical campus in Toulouse, France, in partnership with Alstom. The shuttle will operate at “level 4” without any human supervision. Read More

Aurora partners with AWS on autonomous vehicle development
Amazon Web Services has been selected as Aurora’s preferred cloud provider for machine learning training and cloud-based simulation workloads. Aurora uses AWS’s proven infrastructure and capabilities to safely accelerate the development of Aurora Driver. Aurora has said that it will leverage AWS’s capabilities to optimize and scale. Nuro Brings Autonomous 7-Eleven Deliveries to California
7-Eleven and robotics company Nuro are teaming up to launch California’s first commercial autonomous delivery service.Customers in Nuro’s hometown of Mountain View can order online to have products dispatched to their home or office. Deliveries will use Nuro’s autonomous Priuses, all of which have a human operator in the driver’s seat to monitor the journey and ensure a successful, problem-free delivery. Read More
