Porsche Engineering highlights ADAS, AV and EV advances

Since its acquisition of the Nardo Technical Centre (NTC) in 2012, Porsche Engineering has been steadily updating its capabilities and currently uses the site for a variety of test programs, including the development of AD and ADAS systems. GM Completes Test Track for self driving cars

Engineers at the Canadian Technical Centre (CTC) can officially begin putting their “code-to-the-road” – right here in Canada – on the newly completed CTC McLaughlin Advanced Technology Track (CTC MATT). While the track is now operational internally, an official grand opening event with external audiences is being planned for early spring, pending COVID-19 restrictions. Read More

New Full- Fibre Network: February 24th, 2021 – This new service will enable connectivity to Cambridge’s Science and Research parks and pave the way for High Performance Compute (HPC) and AI collaboration across Europe. IETF energy efficiency and decarbonisation studies, Spring 2021- Organisations can apply for a share of up to £40 million to carry out feasibility and engineering studies into energy efficiency and decarbonisation technologies for industrial processes. IETF deployment of energy efficiency technologies, Spring 2021-  This competition aims to support the commercial roll out and permanent installation of technologies at industrial sites. This is the second round of the IETF Phase 1 competition. In this strand you must be an industrial business of any size to apply. Commercialising Quantum Technologies: germinator projects round 1 – UK registered organisations can apply for a share of up to £1 million for high risk, high return, quantum technology projects with defined commercial outputs. Cyber security academic startup accelerator programme year 5-phase 1: Individuals based in a UK academic institution can apply for a share of up to £800,000 to join the cyber security academic startup accelerator programme (CyberASAP). The Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS) will work with Innovate UK, part of UK Research and Innovation, to invest up to £800,000 in innovation cyber security projects coming from an academic research base. SBRI : Improving Hip Fracture Outcomes Using Data, phase 1: Organisations can apply for a share of £160,000 inclusive of VAT to develop a solution which will improve quality of care and outcomes for hip fracture patients. This is a Small Business Research Initiative (SBRI) competition funded by the Scottish Government through Health Innovation South East Scotland.
