COVID-19: Government guidance for employees, employers and businesses

This guidance also provides details of support available to businesses including:

  • Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme
  • Deferring VAT and Self-Assessment payments
  • Statutory sick pay relief package for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs)
  • Coronavirus Business Interruption Loan Scheme (CBILS) and other Grants

COVID 19 Funding Calls

COVID-19 Rapid Response Rolling – Call Building on the initial calls of their Initiative, DHSC, through the NIHR, and UKRI are jointly launching a rolling call for proposals for rapid research into COVID-19. As this is a rolling call there is currently no fixed end date to the call, we are open to applications and will aim to review complete proposals within 4 weeks of submission. Read More

Covid-19 fast track: £1million Defence innovation funding for Covid-19 – DASA is currently seeking any idea or novel approach that could boost the Ministry of Defence’s capabilities in support of the national effort against Coronavirus (Covid-19). Proposals should be clear as to whether they seek to address the current Covid-19 threat or future similar scenarios. Proposals addressing the current pandemic must have the ability or relevant permissions to successfully deliver the project despite current working restrictions. Read More

Designing sustainable plastic solutions: Innovate UK, as part of UK Research and Innovation, will invest up to £800,000 to fund early-stage, human-centred design projects to reduce the harm that plastics have on our environment and to therefore increase productivity and growth of the UK economy.
