Public trials of on-demand driverless Pods at Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park

Capri, an AECOM-led consortium, is returning to Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park to give members of the public another chance to test out an innovative autonomous mobility service. The final trial, which will take place from the 9th to the 20th of March, will be the first in the UK to test an ‘on-demand’ driverless connected and autonomous vehicle (CAV) in an open public environment. Read More

A pioneering project has developed technology that could radically reduce the number of multi-vehicle collisions on motorways. Trial Run of Autonomous Vehicle Begins at Expo 2020 Dubai Site

An autonomous vehicle will now transport people from the main entrance of Expo 2020 Dubai to the staff offices, as part of a trial run by Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA). The trial run is in line with the Dubai Self-Driving Transport Strategy, which aims to make 25 per cent of journeys in Dubai driverless by 2020, thus contributing to sustainable transport solutions for the future. AXA XL Launches Single Customizable Policy for Autonomous Vehicles

AXA XL, the New York-based property/casualty and specialty risk division of global insurer AXA (Paris) has launched a new insurance solution designed to cover the risks associated with autonomous vehicles. 5G enabled road and rail transport trials in the West Midlands: West Midlands 5G (WM5G) will work in partnership with the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS) and the West Midlands Combined Authority (WMCA). Together they will invest up to £2.5 million in innovation projects that develop a new service or product. These must improve road and rail operational efficiency, provide better-connected transport or improve traveller experience.
